Citizen spotted Elephant in Bhandup - Mumbai

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 17th September 2011 at (Night) 10:00 PM, an elephant been spotted using for begging on busy road at Fish Market near Maharashtra Nagar, Bhandup (West) and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Kanjur Marg - Mumbai

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 28th October 2010 at (Night) 09:33 PM, an elephant been spotted on busy street near Huma Adlabs, Kanjur Marg, the Mahout was taking it all the way from Dahisar for an function at Thane without food and water and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public. On taking with mahout he said if you need elephant for function, shooting or for any other purpose, you can talk to owner Sabhashankar B. Pandey and also given his visiting Card to contact.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Bhandup - Mumbai

On 11th October 2010 Saturday, an elephant been spotted outside Hanuman Mandir, Lakh Road, Bhandup (West) using it for begging from the people who are coming out from temple and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Vasai

On 13th January 2010, an elephant been spotted using for begging in the busy street of Vasai and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public. This elephant is regularly seen in this area.

Malad West
On 3rd March 2010 Wednesday, an elephant been spotted using for begging on busy road  at Mira Road and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public. And elephant is also seen in mostly   during the evening time at New Era Signal near to the Malad West Station.

On 01 February 2010, an elephant been spotted using for begging in the streets of Vashi, it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public. This elephant is regularly seen using for begging in this area.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Thane (West)

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 01 December 2009, Tuesday, an elephant been spotted using for begging near Railway Station, Thane West, it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public and regularly seen in this area. This spot is near to Deputy Conservator of Forest Thane Office and it the way for many forest staff to go and come to their duty daily. Its big question comes in the mind of common citizen that do they cannot see this so large animal just like us? Do the Forest Department give permission to use this Elephant for commercial purpose ?

On 6th  October 2009, an elephant been spotted using for begging in crowded market at Mulund (West) and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Bhandup - Mumbai

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 2nd  October 2009, an elephant been spotted using for begging and roaming on busy road at L.B.S. Marg, Near S Ward Municipal Office, Bhandup (West) and it is going towards Kanjur Marg, it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public.
 
Complaint was given by Sunish Subramanian Kunju on Police Control 100 the complaint number is E00083632 and also taken photograph of the same.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Powai - Mumbai

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 30th September 2009, an elephant been spotted on busy street on JVLR Powai, the Mahout was taking it on afternoon heat without stopping and giving water for drinking and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public. The complaint was given on Police Control Room 100 and its complaint number is W00108072.

Citizen spotted Elephant in Bhandup - Mumbai

Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Thane circular says “In order to stop this violation, it is hereby prohibited to bring or keep Indian Elephant within Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Thane Municipal Corporation without valid ownership with conditions stipulated by Forest Department of Maharashtra”.

On 12th December 2008 at 8:00 PM, an elephant been spotted using for begging in narrow road at Gamdevi Road, Bhandupo (West) where 2 vehicle hardly passes through and children running, teasing & Pulling the tail of poor elephant which is very dangers for both human as well as animals too and it is clear from photograph they are use for commercial purpose to earn money by displaying it in public.
