An Alert Citizen Hemant Bhor, Harshal Sonwane & Prashant Pounikar have spotted this elephant
been used for begging in Thane Dist. – Kalyan East (KDMC D-Section, Tisgaon Naka, Near Railway
Station and surrounding areas) area, following to the information along with
photograph, Plant & Animals Welfare Society – Mumbai SAVE JUMBO Team have
send an written complaint to Senior Police
Inspector - Kolsewadi Police Station and Range Forest Officer – Kalyan,
copy of it was forwarded to all the senior law enforcement authorities.
PAWS-Mumbai also receiving regular calls from Kalyan
regarding elephant been used for begging.
As an Alert Citizen Hemant Bhor, Harshal Sonwane, Prashant Pounikar and PAWS-Mumbai’s Save Jumbo Team
have done our duty, now it the duty of law enforcement agencies to act on our
complaint.
Now it’s time to say.........Dear
Authorities don’t sit and watch, OPEN Your Eyes and ACT!
